Cheyne Richard Willison is the author of the "This Side of the Bridge" series. He was born in 1984 and began writing at the age of fifteen after discovering the writer and director Kevin Smith, whose cult films encouraged him to write. Cheyne started creating short scripts, which he and his friends would act out using his father's video camcorder. He continued to write and started the novel “Waiting For Joy” in late 2002, which was later published in 2004. He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and attended Creative Writing at Wor-Wic Community College. Cheyne later wrote “Walking through Waves” which was published in 2006. After having published his first two books, Cheyne moved out to California in Long Beach. Where he worked shortly on the movie “The Comebacks” as a production assistant. He also graduated at the Hollywood Film Institute in Santa Monica earning his Independent Filmmakers Certificate of Completion and Producer‘s Diploma. While out there, he began writing and eventually finished his first screenplay, “Running into You” which is currently registered with the WGA (Writer‘s Guild of America). After a couple of months, Cheyne moved back to the east coast and finished his third book, “Leaving the Undertow“ which is scheduled for August of 2007 release. Recently, Cheyne has worked on the movie “Brood” as a production assistant in Baltimore, Maryland and is looking for someone to produce his script. He resides in Eastern Maryland.
