Human Rights Issues

People are still starving. How about let's get our generation to make that a thing of the past. Donate time, money, canned goods.

Freedom of Speech: Video Six [Pink - "Dear Mr. President"]

This Freedom of Speech series is coming along pretty well in my humble opinion. I think the artists have been pretty diverse. This is the Sixth video. It's pretty liberal. I'm sure some conservative people should say that she shouldn't say some of these things but I get a kick out of the freedom of speech. And I believe as citizens of this country, if we're displeased with the way it's ran then we should speak up about it. Because if we don't have the right to that, then we're not citizens - we're slaves.

Glass Houses.

I try not to preach to people about morality. I see no point in it. As long as you don't try to tell me how I live my life is wrong, I'm pretty cool with however you live yours.

But a lot of people like to try and tell others how they should live their lives. Why? I really hate to break it to people but there is really no one in my age group ( that I know ) who i see as a role model.

After watching ultra conservative and ultra liberal people all of the time. I realize a lot of people are on a cross and want to preach morality. I have a concern about how neither extreme want to work together. Each saying other ideas would never work.  Each side has valid points.

Then I remember that no matter what, it's like the radio. If you don't like the lyrics you can turn it off.

College: Is this how we are SUPPOSED to act?

I just want to say first and foremost that I have been thinking about this topic for years. I've always had older friends and have seen the way they act once they've hit these golden years of college life. I'll just give you a brief background about myself. I'm 19.  I don't enjoy most of the "usual fun things" that girls my age enjoy. I believe Jay Method said it best in his rant. Being orange and blonde is incredibly attractive.. to some people. They associate this look with porn stars, which gives the impression of a sex symbol, meaning they are amazing in bed. And this is where I get real pissed. read more »

Tomorrow's Mothers.

It's six in the morning and I haven't gotten any sleep. I've been staring at this screen listening to some grand music ( Miles Davis, Common, Sam Cooke ) trying to think of a new write up. Then it hit me as I looked over to my muted television screen - I saw a Girls Gone Wild commercial.

This is talking about some of the females in my generation ( I'm 23. Pretty much the typical age of a Bazards Team Member).

They go out on television and video tape themselves, being wild. Or even more annoyingly take pictures of themselves on a toilet with a scrunched up face to put on facebook and/or myspace. Ladies, let me tell you something as a straight male - that is far from sexy. I don't even get in the mood or think, "Man I hope my girlfriend sits on the toilet tonight and scrunches up her face. Freedom of Speech: Video Five [Mos Def, Immortal Technique, Eminem - "Tell The Truth"]

Remember, Team Bazards doesn't agree with everything said on this site. This is just a part of my Freedom of Speech series of videos. And this will probably offend people:

Freedom of Speech: Video Three [Michael Jackson - "They Don't Care About Us"]

This is the third video for my Freedom of Speech series. It's more of just socially aware music. The last two were from the hip hop community, so I figured what would be different?  Michael Jackson! While I could've gone with an obvious "Man in The Mirror" or "Heal The World" or even "We Are The World", I went another route.

My Computer

Once upon this evening dreamy, sitting in my room still steamy,
Sipping on my coffee creamy, day dreaming of sweet sleep.
Suddenly there came a nagging, as of my deadly conscience bragging,
I found the internet was lagging, so slow I wished to weep.
Sitting silent nearly crying, watching my computer dying,
Thinking of the circuits frying, and then I heard a beep.
It was quiet yet was crashing, as of a thousand pumpkins smashing,
As though a billion brooms were lashing, at the floors they had to sweep.
I rubbed my chin in contemplation, I pulled my hair in desperation,
And rocked my chair with aggravation, and then it beeped again.
At this time I let a wail, "Damn you computer, tool of Baal!
Why do you plot to make me fail? Why do you hate good men?"
